BoKeh DeFocuS

Defocus!  It is not just an optical "aberration".
It is a state of mind.
Wiki says, to defocus, is to reduce the sharpness and contrast of any image.

Exactly like how faces of people blur, this screen does even as I blog, pages of a book do while I read and things coagulate into one homogeneous surface with no clear edges. During defocus, says Wiki, fine details in the scene are blurred or even become invisible.
Yep, they do!
I only think I hear, think I have registered and think I know.
It is not an optical aberration. It is a state of mind. Well it is also an optical aberration.

Nearly all image-forming optical devices (I will add human-beings to this list) incorporate some form of focus adjustment to minimize defocus and maximize image quality.
Optical devices maximize image quality by minimizing defocus.
I maximize defocus to minimize the world...enhances quality in general.

There is only one place then that one can see or look into....catacombs of one's own mind.
